Precisely Measure Large Glass Panels for a Perfect Fit
Glass has become an essential element of modern architecture, both indoors and outdoors. Large-scale applications such as carports, however, require highly accurate measurements to ensure a perfect combination of functionality and aesthetics.
In this project, a custom-made glass side panel was created for a carport. The large-format glass elements were designed to provide reliable protection from wind and weather while maintaining an open, elegant appearance.
The Challenge
Multiple glass panels had to be fitted precisely to the existing structure, including all slopes, angles, and installation conditions.
Using the Solaflex digital measuring system, the entire side wall was measured directly on site with millimeter precision. All relevant dimensions, angles, and connection points were captured digitally and documented in the Solaflex Measuring App. The required installation clearance was also taken into account during the measuring process.
The result:
Three perfectly fitting glass panels that were prefabricated and installed without any on-site modifications.
Digital measurement enabled accurate project preparation and a smooth manufacturing process—fast, efficient, and free from transcription errors caused by manual data transfer.
